Retaining Wall Project in Palisades

This delightful Upper NW DC client was faced with a dilemma as her lower retaining wall had begun to crumble. With the integrity of the slope at stake, we swooped in to rebuild it from scratch, injecting it with a newfound charm. Opting for a dry stacked wall not only preserved its current aesthetic, but also ensured proper drainage, a true hero in our eyes. Not stopping there, we extended our magical touch to the grand retaining wall behind it, for a few unruly stones were playing games with our client's peace of mind. This age-old craft, practiced and perfected for eons, saw stone quarried, hauled, stacked, shaped, laid, mortared, set, shimmed, and even tastefully carved, all a testament to human ingenuity. They asked us to come back to give an additional finishing touch to ensure the integrity of the slope by planting beautiful Pachysandra.
